Your timing with this question couldn't be better. The August 2002 issue
of Car Craft magazine has an article entitled "Cool Coatings" where they
compare the temperature of Jet Hot coated headers with the same brand
uncoated headers.

The coated headers were over 50% cooler in surface temperature.
Comparisons weren't made with stock manifolds but those could be coated as
well.

I've had Jet Hot on my headers for 8 years. No complaints!
