Paul,
Sorry about your truck.

But, as someone who's been there, do yourself a big favor and turn in the
incident to your local police department as a hit and run. If you don't, you
may have a difficult time collecting from the guy if he doesn't come back or
changes his mind later about paying for the damages.

Ah Friday, such a lovely day. The weather was beautiful and the weekend was
in full swing. I was out with a friend for dinner and the appetizers had
just been served as the waitress comes up and says those words we all loath
to hear "Excuse me sir, are you driving a blue pickup with a canopy?" After
a long slow sip on my drink I answer yes, and she continues "Ah, I think
your truck has just been hit by a motorhome..." Well I think you can all
imagine the pictures running through my head at this time, but as I ran
outside I found the damage to be minimal, the motorhome had only brushed the
rear bumper. Of course the bumper is bent, and the paint rubbed off, but at
least he didn't hit the body of the truck. The owner of the motorhome had
already left, but he left a note with his card and name and said he will pay
for the damage, but he won't be back home for two weeks.
