John, thanks for the compliment!
The brush guard that is on my Dak is a Mopar piece. It was originally
brushed aluminum, and I just didn't like the looks of it with all the black
trim my Dak has. I spent quite a bit of time prepping it and painting it.
It held up really good for about a year, but needs to be redone now. Bugs
and rocks have eaten a lot of the paint off. Now that I'm here in Florida,
I have those damned acidic paint eating "love bugs" to worry about, so I
really need to repaint it!
Mopar made a matching roll bar that was pretty cool, too. The only picture
of one that I know of is on Mike Clark's site www.mikesdakota.com on the
GenII webring.
