  I agree with Alex - that seems like a pretty small tire. I run
235/70 15s on my stock 6" rims. (because that's the largest tire the
tire store recommended) I bought some 15x7" AR rims from Scott McKenna
last year (waiting for my tires to wear out to install them) and he
was running 245/70 on the front and 275/?? on the rear. So you could
easily run 275s on the 8" rims, probably 295s. Personally, I'd go
with the widest tire I could fit on the back, but a bit narrower on the
front maybe a 245 or 255? If its a 2wd, having the rear tire be
slightly taller than the fronts could give it a slight rake - really
depends on what you're looking for though.
