believe it or not, I've not had one problem with head gaskets on this v6
yet(knock on wood) Bernd's right, this thing is very stable under boost
conditions, instuments are all stable, no spiking, temp and oil pressure
readings were all very stable, the dyno operator at the hot rod
supernationals was very impressed by the v6's performance,it just wouldn't
hold boost very long due to the belly pan gasket and discharge
pipe leakage,we've sealed up the intake and replaced the plastic pipe with a
new 3" aluminized pipe made from an exhaust tubing u-bend. As far as the
engine is concerned we have only replaced gaskets on the water pump, intake,
valve covers, t-stat,and belly pan.
