All this negativism...
The 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 goes for a cool 79,145 dollars and all of them
are sold since January of this year. However, from the horses mouth - PVO
director - "...Sources at Dodge tell me that they are committed to keeping
the price as low as possible. While the original goal of "around $35,000"
from the PVO, may be overly optimistic. We hope to see pricing no higher
than 40k. I'll keep you posted as more information comes to light on the
cost." Buzz
Buzz comment: "..is that Dodge will unveil the production version and
announce the production date for the hot rod Ram this fall at the annual
SEMA show in Las Vegas (November 5-8). I believe they'll be telling us that
it will be launched in the Spring/Summer of 2003 as a 2004 model."
"Hopes of buying one...?" Jeff, if they sell them for 50K, I will still be
in line with my deposit. But that is unlikely. The truck is only one second
slower than the Viper and can attain almost doubling the HP/TQ output with
the latest aftermarket equipment.

Under 40k?!?!? Yeah, right! No offense but I think you are way off. If
the viper itself lists for $ 75k and 76k respectively for the different
models then how would they sell a truck with that setup that much less?
I understand you are not buying the car itself and the suspension but
you are going to be getting the engine and tranny. Look how much these
items costs just as crate motors. Yes, the dodge will have an upgraded
suspension to handle what these can dish out to a degree and yes t will
still be a truck but I don't think you are remotely in the ballpark on
pricing if you think it's going to be under $40K. No offense to you but
if you have your hopes on buying one and it's based on this price then
you need to look elsewhere. I may be wrong but going buy what things
cost nowadays and how the manufacturer likes to do pricing I would say
it's not going to cost any less then the high $40k range most likely in
the $50k range.

The pricing for the RAM-SRT10 will be announced at the SEMA and expect
it
under 40K.
In January 2003, the Hemi 5.7 will be option for the 1500 model.

Yep, The new hood is installed and included. Original hood is also
included.
SRT ?? na, too much money. I saw a recent article that estimated
$50K...
They can keep it for that. I'm looking at a HEMI (a real HEMI, 5.7L)
powered RAM 2500.
