Well, it's the first time since we got our baby back in 12/99 that she has
had to spend the night at the dealership. Been without ALL day and now the
night till who knows when.. sigh.

OK, here's the deal...
3 weeks ago parts were ordered to fix the diver's side power window that
wasn't working anymore and to fix the popping noise heard coming from the
steering column. Last week the window was fixed... no prob. Scheduled an
appointment for the popping noise for today at 7:30am, supposedly a simple
fix... they found a TSB about it and would take about 6 hours to complete.
2pm comes around, it's ready... didn't have a way to go check it out till
2:45pm. Upon getting there they say... it's ready to go.. we say OK! So, I
get in start it up... pull forward turning the wheels slightly... oh no...
what was that.. tell me it wasn't that popping noise again... I took a deep
breathe sighed and tried it again... yesss it was there... it wasn't fixed.
Back in the shop it went. They checked in the parts dept., had a steering
column in stock and thought.. ok, maybe that will fix it and it was another
TSB for it too. Well, at about 4:30pm it was brought back out front again...
they hadn't test driven it yet so they asked me to get in and check it out.
I hadn't pulled out the overhead door when I heard POP... there it still
was. The guy gets in to listen to it with me... seems upset cause he's at
his wits end as to what could be the prob. I'm trying to not complete loose
it at this point and say... it is better, which it is but still not gone.
So, now it is staying over night... and I guess till they finally fix it
however long that may be...

If anyone has had this same prob PLEASE help us out and give us a clue where
to turn, so that we could fax something to our dealer about what to check
out next.
Thanks.
