Rich, I have the software found at OBD-2.com on my old
Gateway 2000 laptop. I like it because it will work with my
Dakota, wife's GMC Yukon, son's Honda Civic, daughter's
Ferd Rustang. It takes a little getting used to but displays
all sensor data, will turn of mil lights etc.. I think you can
download the software and run the data demos just to test
it out.

Subject: DML: Laptop Scanner Question

I know there are a couple of you out there using OBD-II scanner software on
a laptop. How do you like it? How comprehensive is it? I've been looking
at scanners, and just remembered I have an old 486 laptop sitting around
that would probably be perfect for this. I'd like to be able to use it on
all my vehicles, not just the Dakota. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich - Ashburn, VA
