My Dakota has carried over a 1000 pounds of tools in it's bed everyday of
it's life for the last 2 1/2 years (truck is a 2000 cc 4x4) and I have never
had a problem yet. It has the 1800 lb payload package and handles the
weight just fine. On the other hand, some of the guys I work with who use
the "other brands", the same can't be said for longevity carrying big
weight. Just because it's a mid size truck per say, don't under estimate
it's strengths. Just my opinion.
