I didn't think so but I had at first started with 5w30 synthetic since it's
recommended and was having pinging problems. WHen I switched to 10w30
synthetic most of the pinging cleared up. The funny hting is when I pulled
the plugs after 20k they were running real hot to the point that the
electrodes were starting to burn off and showing signs of blistering.

I have no idea. I have tried to get an answer forever and never have been
able to.

Tire pressure is checked religously, I haven't been able to figure out the
02 sensor and the sealer says it's fine, My tailpipe has just a slight
amount of soot on it in teh inside but no more than normal, No Steigermud
and I have a 4x2 and also not as crazy as you ;-o, Far as I can tell the
brakes don;t stick.

All I know is this is getting very frustrating to the point I have actually
thought about getting rid of the truck. I love the dakota but the problems
and lack of any dealers I have been to to show any sign of car is getting
real old.
