Sounds like par for the course, as long as you're under warranty.
However, Jeff never made this complaint to the dealer as I recall.

Recalls are different from service bulletins (TSBs).

The dealer won't and can't restore the PCM to the original
configuration. They are not permitted to "un-flash" it. I don't even
know if that's possible. And I was told by the dealer when the same
happened to me that A) only the most recent program can be applied and
B) any new PCM coming from the factory will already have it, so a swap
is pointless.
