wow...I didn't realize how expensive it is to lower these things...looks
like the 3-5 kit is a little over 500 then I need the poly bushings, then
you suggested the springs, still need new shocks, and I'd like to get the
quicker sway-bars...all that = OUCH!!!

I was able to haul a sh!t load of gibson exhausts on a trailer after the
drop with a bed full of wheels. Yeah it did drop down a little but it didn't
bottom out (even with factory bumpstops). It seemed to actually make the
ride better.
I have the WC drop that consists of : 2" front dropped lower control arms,
1" front dropped springs. All four hangars out back were replaced giving a
5" drop there. Each hangar is a 2.5" drop, making 5" on the right and 5" on
the left. The WC kit is a little more pricey, although not as much as a
hotchkiss or belltech, but it is well worth it for the ride quality. I think
I paid $350 for my kit on ebay used, plus about $190 shipped for the
belltech shocks from summitracing.com. I did the front myself in a day, and
the back I took somewhere. You *could* do it yourself but I don't reccommend
it, there is too much room for error in the back. You don't want to screw up
your frame. The new lower control arms come with poly bushings. You cannot
use the stock sized ones in it, since the openings are bigger, but they only
charged $22 to replace mine. Oh I also put moog balljoints all over in the
front.
I really cannot say about Carlise yet, I gotta find a job first !
