Definitely NOT like the Volant intakes. You can't even put your hand
(flat) through the tube...some folks have even seen a loss in HP from
the Volant intakes.

As long as the tube is smooth, the transition to the airhat is smooth,
and there's enough room in the airhat to direct the incoming air into
the TB (without any turbulence or restrictions)...that's a properly
designed system. (Doesn't have to be from any specific
manufacturer...but the K&N Gen-II intakes have that figured out
already.)
