10 hp less, yes. But look at where the 4.7 and 5.9 make their power. The
5.9 also makes 35-40 more lbs/feet of torque than the 4.7 and a lower peak
rpm i.e. more usable power on the street. And the 5.9 has way more mods
available at this point. I've had both motors and I like them both but at
this point, I'd go 5.9 for a performance build.
