Could be. When in doubt, follow the procedure in the FSM. (Unfortunately
I've only done one cam swap, and that was on a big block, so I don't
know how much is the same...) If you're interested, I covered the swap in
some detail on my web page, including instructions on how to degree a
cam, etc. (http://jonsteiger.com/barracuda click on "project horsepwer")

As far as I know... It would be helpful to thread some long bolts into
the nose of the cam to use as a handle to pull the cam out. The longer the
better as the leverage will be helpful. Don't force the cam - it should come
out easily - if it isn't it is hanging up on a bearing, and forcing it will
score the soft aluminum bearing. Instead, push it back in again slightly,
twist the cam a bit, jiggle carefully, etc.

When you pull the lifters and pushrods, it would probably be a good idea
to keep them in the same order so that you can put them back in the exact
same place when you re-assemble. This might not be a big deal on a
roller cam (?) but wouldn't hurt. Roll the pushrods on a piece of glass
to make sure they aren't bent.

: 2)how do I prevent the cam from getting missaligned, as well as the
: distributor. I'd hate to go throughthe mess of trying to find lost alignment
: again..

Its not too hard once you've done it - there should be a procedure
in the FSM. If you have a degree wheel, dial gauge, and a piston stop
(Summit sells a cam degreeing kit with everything included), it is fairly
easy. I'm not sure what the centerline of the stock cam is supposed to
be, maybe the FSM will say. But yeah, the "line up the dots" method
should get you pretty close.

 Good luck!
