trans temp guage install ?

I have a B&M trans guage on the way... I'm going to splice its adapter in
on the outflow of the transmission and I was curious how much fluid I'd
loose when I cut that line?

Also what have others used to cut the line. I'm thinking a dremel cutoff
wheel. Any worries about the debris ending up in the lines?
