Yup, they'll fit, and yes 11.5 is the width of the tire. I had 32x11.50 BFG
MT KM's on 15x8 rims. That's probably as wide as you want to go on a 8"
rim. Should be no problem on a 9" rim. For a 12.5 tire I'd go up to a 10"
rim, you could probably get away with a 9" rim, and I've even seen them on
8" rims, but at that point you're actually pulling the tire inward, and you
can see the tread opening up. If you're gonna offroad (which I assume you
are if you're going up to tires this size) then go with a 10" rim, it'll
look better and you'll get a bigger contact patch. My brother had a set of
33x12.5 BFG MT KM's mounted on his 15x8 steel rims, then switched them over
to 15x10 steel rims, they look like two different sets of tires, and he said
they actually perform better offroad now. Just to let ya know.
