Well, that only has to do with approach angle, and break over angle, not the
suspension setup. (The hummer's front tires are actually in front of the
vertical line that the bumper makes)
And while the hummer is a very capable stock rig, as soon as you get it onto
the rocks (rock crawling) you see it's limitations REAL quick.
Due to the IFS and the IRS the thing has no flex, so when one wheel is in a
raised position, it often pulls a second (opposite side, opposite axle)
wheel off the ground. That's no good for grip, obviously, cause now you
only have 2 wheels in contact with the ground.
Also, it is a very long, and wide machine.
Tight trails are a no go in the hummer. Even trails at Jon's place, the
hummer wouldn't make it through, it's too tight.
Hummers are big imposing vehicles that are somewhat impressive when seen
through the eyes of someone that really doesn't do too much hard core
wheeling.
But, for the price, i could build a mountain scaling Dak, now that would be
cool. ;-)
