It's to your benefit to have the synthetic in there. It's slipperier
therefore reduced friction. Your gas mileage might improve slightly. Your
engine will like you better and last longer. The question is, what filter
was put in?

Subject: DML: Mobil One Syn 5-30
I just got my oil changed and I told my mechanic to put synthetic in it by
mistake. I've been running regular Mobil in it. I have 16,000 miles on the
stock 4.7. Is it ok to switch back if I decide to? He told me I could go
around 7500 mi. before the next change?? And, what differences should I be
noticing with the syn in it?
TIA
