RE: RE: fender flares

That might be due to differences in flares. When I went to go order
flares for my truck my dealer asked me several different questions to
get the right part number. I now there are different ones for R/T, QC,
RC, Club Cab, and the combinations for the 4x2 and 4x4 in each truck.
For instance there is a different set of flares for the 4x4 QC and the
4x2 QC. The flares look exactly the same but I think the mounting points
are a little different. The one flare that did look a little different
to me is the one for the R/T. It doesn't seem to stick out as much at
the bottom rear on the back set.

I was the guy asking last June. Julie form the list had gotten a set
before and was able to give me the right part number. The part number
was 82205258 MLDG KIT 1023015. I paid $232.74 including tax and shipping
at my local dealer. The only thing that was a little weird on my '98 was
on the rear fenders the hole for the push in moulding thing did not
match up to the fenders. All of the other holes lined up perfecty. There
is a small gap at the lower rear of the back flares where it meets the
truck bed, but I've seen this pretty regularly on other Dakotas. Hope
this helps you as much as it did me. Thanks again Julie.

Hey DML'ers
Need help locating a set of factory fender flares in Light Driftwood
color
for my "99 Dakota. Have been on back-order with "mydodgeparts.com" for
two
months now. I remember one of our members got a set this summer through
your
help. That was what prompted me to try looking there also. Any ideas or
recommendations? I don't really want aftermarket ones. I like Dodge's
original units just fine. Thanks in advance for your help!
