I agree with sir bill, mine does not hit 180 but it will blister you out
of the car...flush that heater core, it could well be clogged up.

It almost sounds like you don't have a water flow thru the heater

or the air flow is not coming thru the heater. I have a 180 in mine and
it'll
just about blister you're skin.
When was the last time the cooling system was cleaned and
flushed? The
heater core may be stopprd up.
