Hi Jerry
Valve train is adjusted by hydraulic lifters hence nothing is
"adjustable." If however any of the fasteners holding the valve train in
place are not tight to specs that's another story.
With only 8k mi and you've developed a new and significant noise (which
you believe to be in the valve train), you really should see your dealer and
get your complaint into the computer. If there is warranty service required
right now or anytime within the warranty period as a result of whatever it is
that you're hearing it's vital that you have established a complaint trail
with the dealer. I assume you've been using at least a 10-30 viscosity oil?
