I remember seeing a show that covered this a while back. It said it was
supposed to go into production but I don't know what the mileage was
supposed to be. I do remember them testing it and it was faster by
almost a second 0-60 than the 5.9. If I remember the gas engine is till
hooked up to the rear and the electric is hooked up to the front. That
was why it was so fast 0-60 because the electric motor helped the gas
engine instead of taking over for it. I believe the gas engine was
supposed to be a 4-banger.

Subject: DML: Hybrid Durango?
Got this from my brother. I don't have an answer, but I'm sure
someone
here does. His email to me is below. Any info or links would be nice.
Thanks!

"A guy I work with is considering getting a Hybrid vehicle toward the
end of
next year. Ford is suppose to have this in their Escape and that's what
he
is leaning toward because of the fuel mileage and its bigger than the
current cars that are out there by Toyota and Honda. He said that Dodge
was
going to have a hybrid Durango. Do you know the status on this? He
said
from what he can tell, the mileage would only go from like 12 to 18.
Any
thoughts?"
