OK. Thanks. I didn't think it was necessary or as Bernd said, just use something to suck the fluid out of the reservoir (like I do on my bike), but I thought I'd play it safe and ask.

No, I did not drain the master cylinder. I didn't want to run the risk of
introducing any air into the system. I just kept it topped off as I used a
vacuum pump to pull the fluid through the system.

Cool. I took a look at my FSM last night and it talked about draining the
master cylinder and one other item before going to the wheels... Did you do
this or is this only when rebuilding the system/replacing the master
cylinder? Tom
