RE: Fuel mileage question

I bought a 2001 R/T about 3 months ago from Texas (Huston). I'm not exactly
sure what all has been done to it before I got it. It does have an exhast
dump welded in place. I added a K&N induction system. It passed the
California Smog testing with no problem.

My milage is around 10 mpg, pretty bad. Any others with similar gas milage
or any suggestions.

The truck runs nice, no problems and reasonably fast.

Mike

Thanks Andy, I pretty much figure I am stuck with the drop for the winter.
It is still better that the 12mpg I got from my '85 Ram 4x4, 'course I
didn't have to add any weight to it!;-) John

Yes, the 300 pounds will make a difference.

Cooler weather will result in running richer (more O2 coming in b/c cold
air is denser means more fuel pumped in).

Colder weather means tire pressure drops (figure 1 PSI per 10 degrees F
temperature change).
