Okay, now that the 'catchy' title has gotten your attention...
Long story short, I drive a 99 Dodge Dakota 5.2l v8, and I love it! On
9/23/2002 she was in a head on accident and the radiator was replaced. The
shop that did the repairs failed to notice that the 'transcooler?' nut on
the radiator was loose. The fluid leaked out, and now my transmission is
dead.
Can anyone give me any info on what this nut is, what it does, who should be
responsible for ensuring it is tightened...etc, or perhaps, if you could be
so kind and point me to a location where I can find 'hard proof' on what is
required of a shop to install a radiator?
I am in a bind. I have spent $1,000 in rental fees (not including the $400
rental fees from the accident), and am still accruing rental fees as I type
this message. My poor Dakota has sat in the shop for almost a month now,
for I am trying to pin the blame on someone, but unfortunately it is
difficult...
Any help would be appreciated!
Sincerely,
A former US Marine
