Have you looked into an electronic solution? I'm not
sure how exactly it would work with the separate bus on the
GenIII trucks, but it seems like I saw install pictures of an
electronic device in a GenIII Dak which adjusted for gear
and tire changes by manipulating the speedometer signal.
