Q to HIGH Rollers

Some questions to those living/driving at high elevations.

Do any of you (4x4, autos.) at around 5000' or higher running
a performance computer experience pinging? It's my
understanding that the highest available octane at those
altitudes is about 89 because the low air density does
not need anything higher.

Also, do any of you tow with your performance computer
and not experience pinging?

How much of a difference has your performance computer
made (if any) at those altitudes? I understand that, for every
1000' more in elevation, there is about a 3% loss in hp.

Thanks for sending in your experiences in these areas.
