And as I stated previously, just swap the BCM as well and be done with it.

Someone (Jon or Bernd I think) posted that the V8 PCM after 98? will not
accept the V6 VIN number. If you enter a V8 number, you will get all sorts
of errors since the VIN's in the PCM and BCM won't match.
