Sorry, racing is racing, no matter how you look at it. Any time, under any
condition, if you are trying to out accellerate another you are racing.
What you are describing as being "okay" is like the proverbial "little white
lie". It's still a falsehood, no matter how you look at it.
You can try to justify it any way you like, it's still wrong.
