That's nuthin...
My 9 month old, 5500 mile motor mounts in my '71 Satellite Sedan ripped
off completely on both the driver's side and passengerside... The Motor
would flip up and hit the airhat on the hood! 383 4bbl w/ mild cam, in
a 4000# + car, running 2.45 gearing.... That's right, 2.45 gearing...
and tires that made the affective ratio a 2.34.... WOOHOO.

Subject: DML: Guess what too many hard launches get you?
Heh...
A few to many brakestands and drage-type launches on my 10 year old
motor
mounts basically ripped the driver's side motor mount's rubber block
nearly
clean off the plate that bolts to the block. There was a 1/4x1/8" chunk
of
rubber still attached. Decided to do all the motor mounts and the trans
mount at the same time. Still waiting for the parts store to bring in
another mount for the passenger side.
One thing, how the hell is it that the Chrysler dealership was charging
over
$70(CDN) per mount for the motor mounts, and the other parts stores were
~$35?
