I don't believe your thermostat is working correctly. also do you have a
clutch fan and if so is it locked up so it cant coast when cold.
Mopar calls for the 192 probably for government mandated emission control
reasons. I would try a new 180 and if you still have problems then go to
the 192. The higher temp stat will not make the engine warm up faster only
to a higher temp.

I have the same situation on my 92 V6. Even blocking off the radiator
completely doesn't help unless the temp is above freezing. I still get the
code 17 (cold too long) and there is insufficient heat. I will be going back
to the 192. (I said earlier MoPar called for the 192 and caught grief for
it)
I would change the stat to the factory recommended 192.
