Mopar calls for the 192 probably for government mandated emission control
reasons
They called for a 192 on my 65 383 Sports Fury, 66 Coronet, 70 Challenger,
72 and 73 Charger, and more.
Way back in 65 I don't think it was for emissions.
I used to have a 192 in it, and in 100 deg temp with the air on it never got
warm. I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
