Hey Josh, the locker is great for every time you loose traction with your
current setup (open diff). It will probably slow you down when you make
turns during normal driving b/c the locker doesn't like break the lock
between the two tires very well, but if you want to hammer it through a turn
it is great for that as well. Just expect the rearend to slide around on
you a bit. I've chased some S-10's around turns like this and smoked them
b/c I could carry more speed through the turn... :)
Your big performance gains will be from the gears though. If you have an
automatic then I think the dml suggests 4:10 for it but not sure on that. I
have 3.92 gears which are better for the manual box.
