I will be in Chicago at least by July 23rd. I will be heading out from
south of midway airport from my buds house. Adam - this year I can get
a much earlier start - last year I was plagued with delays - heavy 4th
of July traffic - and an impromtu tire rotating somewhere in Mischigan
in about 90 degree heat heh. I will not have those problems this year
<evil grin>

Josh - I had the same questions last year. I brought my drivers license
with obviously, as well as my birth certificate, my truck title,
insurance papers etc. And that was good enough. Don't need a passport
to go in and out of Canada. I think on the way into Windsor - they
looked at my birth cert. on the way back into Buffalo - the guy just
checked my drivers license. They ask you a bunch of rather mundane
questions, the reason I say that is because you could easily flat out
lie - (Don't lie to the border dudes heh :-P) and if they didn't check
your truck and inspect it - they would never know different. They ask
about what your business in Canada is - what are you bringing across the
border - and other questions - Jason and Norah would be able to give you
better details on that then I can.

I told them I was on my way to meet up with a friend in Windsor and to
drive on through to New York for some weekend off roading - just the truth.

"Whats in your truck?"

"Got my sleeping gear in the back - tools in the tool box, cold water in
the ice chest - and a spare tire"

"Ok go on"

Josh - also - Adam and I used FRS radios to talk on the road - I also
never drive without a CB - a very relable too in locating and avoiding
Mr. Smokey Bear. (though not 100% perfect)

Jon also has a bunch of FRS radios at the Barn - however I like the CB's
because they typically have a greater range than FRS - the two are not
compatible however. If you and Gary come along - I should have enough
radios for all of us. I have 4 total. Adam - you know where your FRS
radios are? heh

Geez - here I am talking and planning like the BBQ is next week :-(

I have it BAAAAD
