Ken, the M1 2-bbl should be worth about 20 HP at higher rpms. I saw no loss
or gain of low rpm performance but from 3000 to 6000 there's a really good
gain. Since you do have to remove the stock intake manifold to fix the
belly pan, this would surely be the time to swap.

Two things you should be aware of.....you probably won't notice a difference
unless your trans shifts around 5500. And, you'll need to do a little
trimming of the fuel rail spacers that come with it to clear the throttle
lever on the F&B TB. If you decide to get it, check back with me for
details. Oh, another thing....you really need to know what you're doing to
change the intake manifold without ending up with vacuum leaks. They will
really ruin your day and you'll have to redo all your work to fix them. My
best advice is to get an experienced shop to do this for you.

I've heard the Fastman (Dan Arcand) makes house calls. :-) Probably not
cheap but he would do it right and could make sure your rockers are properly
adjusted as well.
