I mentioned those because I have experienced them all personally. Any
yes they do write on the failed sticker the reasons for failure in addition
to the purple slip. In terms of proving the items were fixed, I had a sales
receipt from the parts counter.

Ummm, I doubt that. For 1, the rejection sticker doesn't list the reason for
failure (I think the little purple receipt might though), but how can you
prove to a police officer that you fixed the problem, cause he won't be
able to verify it half the time. There's a lot of things that fail that a visual
check (without a lift, etc) cannot see. Also, while you're out getting
parts (and I'm not even sure you can do that), don't stop anywhere else.
IE: don't go through a drive-thru. That's where the cop put his lights on
us, as soon as we stopped in the parking lot of a Taco Bell, he put his
lights on.
