Dunno, but I think it was mainly just a competition thing on the Warranties (kia's 10/100,000 and everyone else stepping up their own warranties to compete). Don't most of these components last up to about 7 years or more anyway? I know my truck is about 7 years old, and don't have any problems related to the drivetrain (yet).
