what they changed was lagging sales, and the aftershocks of the Sept. 11
attacks. as a way of getting people to buy DC vehicles, they offered
the 7/70 warranty, as well as 0% interest (over 3 years). there was no
change, other than a change in the economy, which has brought a
boat-load of sales for DC (i think they were the only one of the Big 3
that wasn't in the red at the end of last year).

That doesn't seem fair though.

I'd ask them what they changed on 2002 (driveline wise - not computer)
that allows them to go 7/70 and not on 2000 models? Did they "upgrade"
the 45RFE or differential in some way?

I just talked to the dealer, 7/70 was started on the 2002 models, that
sucks.
