i've looked... nothing. it is really frustrating, because the smell only
occurs for a couple of seconds when i'm stopped at a light, and when i come
to the next light, there's no smell or anything... it is wierd... like it
releases pressure and then everything is fine. i've checked my gauges, and
nothing is happening (nothing wrong at least).

lately there has been a coolant smell when driving my truck. it begins when
the truck warms up, and you get that characteristic "maple syrup" smell of
collant evaporating, but doesn't last too long. i searched the entire
engine bay, and i can't find any leaks or puddles. also, there is nothing
leaking on to the drive way when i get home. the smell doesn't start
immediately, but when the truck warms up after a while. i'm at 46,000
miles, and plan on doing a full flush of the system during the summer.

also, the lower return hose, as well as the bypass hose, have been replaced.
when i checked for coolant the other day, the truck was low, so i put some
into the resevoir, and i haven't noticed it go down since then, but i will
check tomorrow.

any suggestions on where to look? this is frustrating to be smelling that
coolant and not know where it is coming from.
