   Yep, I did the same thing (tied the fuel rail up against the hood) I
did remove the injectors though just so I wouldn't bump them and get
dirt in them, etc. As far as relieving the fuel pressure goes - there
are a few ways to do it; one of these methods will work, or a combination
of these methods:

  - Remove fuel pump relay from PDC and try to start truck (although it
    probably won't start, it if does, let it run until it dies and try
    to start it again)

  - If you have a schraeder valve on your fuel rail, surround it with
    shop towels and push down on the plunger. Before you do this, you
    might want to do the previous step first, just to get most of the
    fuel out, otherwise you will probably have a good amount of fuel
    and a high pressure spray.

  - If you don't have a schraeder valve, you can hook a pair of alligator
    clips or wires to the battery, unplug a fuel injector, and touch the
    wires to the contacts on the fuel injector briefly. Do this a few
    times, but only hold the contacts on the injector for a second at a time.
