There was a hotter ECU available for these trucks. I had gotten one from
Forward Motion out of PA years ago.
Not sure if they're still around. I was on the B&G site recently, and sawa
blurb about these there as well.

You can also use a stock 360 TBI (same year) on it for more air. If you
decide to go this route, use the 5.2 injectors and sensors off the original
TBI unit. You'll need to open up the holes at the top of the intake
manifold for best effect.
