Here is the update on my Dakota. I bought my Shelby back in March. Here is
what I have done. New front brakes, new P245-60-15 Yokohama Avid S/T tires,
New hi-performance rebuilt tranny with MP High Stall Lock Up Converter and
new KYB Gas A Just shocks. Tune up with Blue MP wires. The truck will run
dead even with my 15.7 second Neon. The engine appears to be stock with cast
iron exhaust manifolds. It does have an Edelbrock air cleaner and Accel
coil. Haven't had it to the track but she will definitely run high 15's low
16's. She also will corner at high speed with little body roll and the tail
stays in place. In fact the truck had good all season tires on it when I got
it and she would incinerate the tires. With the Avids she hooks up nice.
Best non race tire I have had period. Now I turn my attention to the engine.
I want to get as much power as I can retaining tbi. I understand fully that
I am limited with this but I want to keep the tbi. Any ideas? I do plan on
rebuilding the engine from top to bottom
