I've got some 245/70 15 Yokohama Avid S/T's on my 2000... they stick to the
ground VERY well, but don't last too long if you push them hard. I only got
about 20K (one year) out of mine this last time. Good thing that they're
relatively inexpensive...

Truck sounds like it's gonna be a real street screamer when you're done with
