Re: Temperature Problem

First, many thanks to those who gave suggestions about the temperature fluctuation problem
I was having. Just got done replacing the thermostat. Hopefully that will do it. Seemed
OK at idle. True test will be the ride home from the office tonight. All the hoses were
new and I put in a new waterpump just last year, so I really hope that wasn't the problem.
If this thermostat swap doesn't fix it, gonna try the temp sensor next.

Now, maybe I should tell the whole story. I had my engine replaced by the dealership in
Feb/March (I know, bad idea, but there were many circumstances that made it rather
necessary). All in all, a team of laboratory monkeys could have done a better job (not
that I could have, but these guys are supposed to be professional?) It took them 6 weeks
and three tries to even get it close to right. So while replacing the thermostat, I
discovered more of the aftermath of their butcher job. As many of you have probably
already noticed, I know just enough to be dangerous, and am by no means an expert. Can
anyone tell me where the other end of this is supposed to attach?

http://www.civitasgalleries.com/images/ground.jpg

Since it appears to be the engine ground(?) it's probably not a good thing to have
flapping all over the place in there, huh? Sigh. Maybe this is why my windshield wipers
haven't worked since the engine swap.

Anyway, if anyone could just give me a quick hint where the loose end attaches, I'd be
very grateful.

Thanks again.
