255/60's

A 7" wheel is the design rim width for the 255's. While they will
easily go on a 6" rim, watch for potential
wear in the center area of the tread. The 255's should go fine on the
back, but will rub in the front. Have
a tire shop check a load inflation table to find out the proper air
pressure to set these tires at. Normally,
going to a larger tire requires a drop in tire pressure to carry the
same weight due to larger air volume. If you
dont, they will also wear in the center of the tread. Ever seen a
jacked up truck with mudders on it? How
do the tires wear? Usually bald in the center 'cause the sidewall says
max inflation 50 psi and that's what the tire
got inflated to.
