No Code 13 (or 14) on Gene's truck. The OD Solenoid Pack (includes the
TQ Converter lockup solenoid) is known for causing problems like this
and is, more than likely, the culprit as well. Easy fix but trans-pan
needs to come off.

When my truck had these same symptoms a couple years ago, it was a bad
MAP sensor. I had to do a neutral drop in order to get it into gear and
keep it running. Although, mine threw a code 13. HTH!
