Bob, here's what I found....

1997-01 2wd Dakota -Rear-- RS5000 = RS5147, RS9000X = RS99147

FWIW...I still use stock length rear shocks even with a 3" drop. If you
want a shorter Rancho shock, try looking at their specification charts and
find a part # that is the same style but shorter.
