THanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll check the
heat shields and wires and such. Still way too
coincidental for my tastes.
The plugs had no other damage beyond slight fuel
fouling, which would be expected given how bad the
miss was before replacement.
On the other hand, my '00 Dakota Quad has almost 73K
miles on it (in less than 3 years of use and not my
only vehicle) and I've never had a battery failure.
We take it camping and put all sorts of other stress
on it, with no problems.
