Its possible if it has been in storage since 1990 like
he says - what I want to know though (and I don't think this
is stated on the web page) is WHY was it put in storage so
early, and for so long? Did they actually buy it as an
investment? A bit early to be selling if so...

Quite possible he did Jon. He, or his father, may be selling due to the fact that it didn't appreciate in value like it was anticipated. That would be a good question to ask if someone were bidding on it. Why was the truck parked from almost new?
